Flex tape sticks better under water. As a tip when using gorilla waterproof patch and seal tape let it sit in the hot Sun for a few minutes first. The sticky stuff like tar. Will get more gooey and will stick better underwater.

I have had one for 10 years and I wash the covers a couple times a year , they are in my living room so they are not used often they still look brand new and white , I get so many compliments, I love em.

Great video duck poop contains E. coli Many germs that might be found in bird droppings can infect humans. Duck and goose droppings, in particular, might contain germs such as E. coli, Salmonella, Campylobacter, or Cryptosporidium ("Crypto" for short). Most germs in bird droppings are killed by chlorine within minutes in a well-maintained pool.

Great video .. I may have missed it but did you mention you have to brush it down all the sides and the bottom .. let algae settle again and vacuum as soon as you can

Does the pool pump when leaking drops of water can it trip the GFCI?

If u close your pool properly and have the correct cover for it it will be crystal clear when u take the cover off to open it

Is it difficult to remove the back half of the electric pump to replace the bearing and brushes on the armature?

Run your pump for 2 hours THEN BACK FLUSH AND RINCE SAND FILTER. THEN ADD 2 GALLON OF CLOROX BLEACH. KEEP PUMP ON OVER NIGHT.

How much are those gallons of liquid shock? I'm thinking about getting my very first above ground pool but if the chemical cost is too high I won't be able to buy it

It's amazing how different things cost in different countries isn't it? In India for example this exact same countertop would cost less than $200, including the cost of installation.

I think I found the right video, I have the same stove.

I use a hairdryer to heat up the hose where it attaches to the pump. Comes off a little easier that way when it’s warm.

That seems like an excessive amount of shock.

They make a skimmer vac plate that you can attach to your skimmer basket and attach your hose to. This way, you don't get all that crap in your pump basket. Much eaiser to pull out and dump.

Make sure you pray and ask the Lord to give you knowledge to keep from making a lot of mistakes. He gives much wisdom to His children. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

Another gimmick, all of the "stove top" fans receive poor ratings on Amazon. We heat 99% with 2 wood stoves in northern New England-Maine; no central heat or mini splits. If sized right, the stove will heat the air where you spend the most time. We don't heat bedrooms ( as the Swiss and Norweigians don't either ). Insulate the home well. Dress for the temps. Enjoy wood. Heating "up from" your furnace/minispit thermostat set at 65 F with wood is simple. We heat the "delta" from outdoors/indoors to comfort 70's F. Try shutting off your furnace.

Don’t put chlorine tablets in ur skimmer. It’s horrible for concentrated chlorine to go through ur pool plumbing and especially if u have a heater

I did everything you did yesterday. I wish I had seen this before. We had the same tools and revelations.

I have had an above ground pool for 30 years now. This is my second pool. We always empty half of the water out every fall and cover the pool. Then come spring I drain all the water out. I clean the liner really good and refill it right away. You never empty the pool and let it sit empty for days it will shrink and bust after you refill it. So refill it as soon as possible. I have a DE filter and my pool will have crystal clear water all summer never green. I have had a sand filter in the past and I love the DE filter better. I only use the 3" chlorine tablets in a floater. I try to buy the tablets that contain the highest amount of chlorine in them. Read your lables... I added it up it is cheaper to just add new water every spring instead of buying chemicals. I have a floor drain in the center of my pool this helps keep the pool cleaner too no vacuuming. The dirt settles in the center where the floor drain is. I backwash my filter every week. I clean out the filter every fall after disconnecting it and I store the filter system inside for the winter.

We don't use sand. We use these white round balls that work great. And when they start getting dirty they go into a bag and into the washer.
